5 Creative Ways To Use Essential Oils
There are lots of ways to use essential oils and all kinds of different diffusers on the market. Some methods are not so common. Let’s take a look at five underrated ways to use your essential oils.
1. Lava Bead Jewelry—bracelets and necklaces - Simply apply a drop or two of essential oil to the lava beads.
The scent will last a day, if not more, although some like to change the scent daily. Use any of your favorite essential oils.
In addition to using the lava stones as a diffuser, they have been used for centuries for emotional and spiritual healing.
Emotionally, lava stone has grounding qualities and is great for calming emotions. It’s thought to symbolize rebirth and can help in letting go of baggage.
Spiritually, lave beads are great for grounding the root chakra, as they have a strong connection with the earth with a calming energy. The jewelry looks and smells great.

2. Mists and Sprays
Simple. Get a spray bottle and mix your essential oil with water. Shake and spray. Not only is it easy, it’s a natural way to freshen and bring fragrance into your room, home, or office.
No need for those chemical air fresheners anymore. And you can take it with you anywhere. Essential oils vary in strength so always start with small amounts when experimenting with new oils to test sensitivity.
Try a few drops to start; you can always add more if you want your mixture stronger.
The tree deodorizers you see hanging in many cars have caused problems for many people in the form of nausea and headaches, just to name a couple. What kinds of chemicals are in those air fresheners? Do a quick google search and you may find the results a bit unsettling.

4. In the Dryer
Sprinkle a few drop of essential oil on a washcloth and throw it in the dryer or if you have dryer balls, add a few drops to one of the balls.
5. Tissues in the Trash
Put a drop or two on a tissue. Keep it near you at home or work in any trash bin, especially the restroom. It’s inexpensive, but very effective at fighting unwanted odors and keeping a fresh scent.
You could also use a cotton ball. Put it near your pillow before bed or sprinkle a couple of drops of Lavender or Sweet Dreams on your pillow case for a peaceful nights sleep.
