I first learned about Arnica on a 1997 trip to Ireland. A fellow traveler had fallen at a NY airport and after landing in Shannon her knee was stiff and swollen. A trip to the ER 24 hours later confirmed no serious damage and she was given an arnica cream as standard procedure. Two days later, that gal joined us on a challenging walking trip on an Aran island. It was as if her fall never happened. We were all impressed and I bought some arnica before I left Ireland. I bruise easily (as do family members). Prior to arnica, any bruise turned into a painful 2 week rainbow. Since 1997, bruising is only a quiet 3 day event. I like being able to now buy arnica conveniently through my usual mail order deliveries from Vitality. I call arnica “my Pac-Man” because it dissolves the pooled blood underneath the skin that is the cause of the pain, swelling and discoloration.
